Nice building and rooms on a lower level. Public parking nearby provided. The location in the heart of the city. Also - just next door to Museum of writhers, public transport, main shopping area, the river and Temple Bar and the buses...

The breakfast here was delicious and affordable, served in a comfortable and cozy setting.

ease of access, cleanliness & comfort of rooms, good location close enough to centre to walk but far enough away to escape the noise & bustle.

A bigger breakfast would have been nice a 2 year old could have eaten more

The central location of this place was great and the rooms were clean and cozy with comfortable bedding, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was inexpensive, clean, and reasonably well-located. No noise problems and they seem to be well organized.

No elevator and a somewhat difficult to find and lengthy route to the room on the second floor. This is an older building so modifications have been made to permit it to be used as a hotel. I had to reach the second floor and then search for my room which entailed going through a door to a half flight up and then down another half flight and through another door and then locating the room tucked away in a darkish corner. Security is a bit suspect as they warn one on registering to not leave valuables in the room. Locks on the doors are older keyed ones - I was careful to not leave my valuables when out. Yhe front desk staff held a valuable item for me but didn:t issue a receipt or seal it, though it was returned in good condition. They apparently have noisy activities Fri./Sat.and maybe Sun.on the ground floor and are associated with a casino next door. There were no problems with noise during my stay.

The location was pretty good, since o connell St. Is popular. There are many steps, my 61 year old mother had to take rests between flights of stairs. The shower is so small, it was hard to maneuver without accidentally moving the handle to hot or to cold. Would have been nice to have a small continental breakfast included in the price.

The overall experience was fantastic, would highly recommend, the place is fairly clean, has an excellent location, and the staff is extremely friendly.

This place was super clean, I kinda wished I stayed longer. the location was awesome, right near the center. the staff was really friendly, and everything just clicked. 👌

The staff were very friendly the location was great for our needs. The pub downstairs did not affect us I would stay there again. its not a family hotel.

The reason I chose Barry's was the price for this location. It is literally 2 minutes walking from Dublin's main street, 5 minutes walking from main shopping street, 15 minutes walking from Tempe Bar area. This was the best price for this location. Except the location, the hotel has no other good points.

In sort: You will have to climb a lot of stairs with your luggages in order to get to a shabby worn dirty room with a terribly uncomfortable bed so you will wake up with a bad back every single morning. (Room 14) In more details: Hygiene and comfort are definitely not the strongest points of this hotel. The hotel has 4 levels with long stairs and no lift, so be prepared to climb loooong stairs with your heavy luggages. The room was small, the bathroom even smaller. The bath had cracks on it and definitely wasnt properly cleaned. I found pistachio shell in the room (it wasnt me who ate it). The TV in the room was at least 15years old with no remote. (should be in a museum instead of a hotel) The worst thing was the mattress: obviously someone very heavy slept on it and left a huge impact on the mattress, it caved in very badly, very very uncomfortable for sleeping, actually IT WAS THE WORST BED I SLEPT IN DURING THE LAST 5 YEARS and have really travelled over the world and slept in many hotels and beds.
